Bhajan Global Impact Foundation, a non-profit organization, works to better the lives of the people of Haryana through evidence-based policy research and high-impact social interventions. The brief was to design an office space as well as their brand identity which represents the highly optimistic attitude of the organization. Their functional requirements were:

Call center
Conference room
Head Office
Pantry
Lounge
Collaborative Workstations

The intent of the design was to create an environment which stimulates and encourages ideation and communication.With that in mind, we brought forth the idea of a co-working space, but keeping it away from the “coffee -shop” aesthetics. We gave functionality and economizing on space priority in design, without slipping into monotony.

To deal with all negatives of a basement work space, problems such as work stress, absenteeism, lower productivity and concentration,and yet being a space where users spend the majority of their day, the work space needed to be low maintenance. With emphasis on lighting, ventilation, possible work station expansion, on the one hand the colours Yellow and Green in paint and oak veneer on furniturehave been used to create a sense of play adding warmth and comfort, and on the other the white walls and use of clear glass partitions has been done to maintain and maximize the visual openness in the space. The choice of colours also compliments the logo we designed for them.
